On the morning before he meets the crew of the Straw Hat Pirates, young sous-chef Sanji enjoys a peaceful day at work onboard the floating restaurant Baratie. Shokugeki no Sanji is a one-shot special written by Shokugeki no Souma creators Tsukuda Yuuto and Saeki Shun to celebrate the 21st anniversary of One Piece. A continuation was written to celebrate the series's 1000th chapter. It was published in English as One Piece: Shokugeki no Sanji by VIZ Media under the Shonen Jump imprint on March 12, 2024.
