Looking for My One-Night Villainess

In the novel The Highs and Lows of Leonie’s Life, Liberata Bernadette is a mean villainess whose relentless bullying of Leonie Almas drives the male lead, Archduke Gerlach Cygnus, to kill her. The woman who now inhabits Liberata’s body is trapped in a cycle of despair, repeatedly living and dying as a villainess no matter how she tries to steer her fate.

Expecting it to end in familiar fashion, Liberata starts her 20th life unconcerned about any consequences. However, after drinking too much at a banquet, she wakes up next to none other than Gerlach! Something has gone terribly wrong; the archduke was supposed to meet and fall in love with Leonie that very night.

As the plot has been altered, the world begins trying to destroy itself—by erasing its main character, Leonie. And to complicate Liberata’s attempts at getting the novel back on track, Gerlach is indifferent toward Leonie, fully resolving to pursue the woman who stole his heart in just one night.
