Description
Saburo, a new doctor, met a man in downtown Susukino, Sapporo. Saburo sees the life of a fierce doctor in Tetsuro Kokubu, who has suddenly disappeared after having shown great promise for the future due to his competence at a university hospital.
The gekiga contains nine heart-wrenching arcs including “The End of Snow,” which depicts the past of Kokubu, who established a small clinic in a backstreet of Shinjuku and is called “Dr. Kumahige” by the residents of the town.
